[Lakeland, FL, July 2018] Four finalists have been selected in the search to fill the vacant CEO position at the Early Learning Coalition Polk County. These four candidates were selected through a comprehensive search by the ELC of Polk County Board of Director’s Executive Committee as facilitated by the Lakeland firm of SHR Human Resources, LLC. Over 130 resumes were screened from a nationwide search. The four finalists are:
- Dr. Sallie Brisbane, Lakeland, FL. Dr. Brisbane currently serves as a consultant with Compass Smart Solutions, LLC. She has a long history of service as an educator with the Polk County School Board, Florida Southern College, and Polk State College. She also has been actively involved in a number of community activities.
- Kenneth L. Franklin, Lakeland, FL. Mr. Franklin is the current Vice President of Operations and Special Programs at ELC of Polk County. He has worked at ELC of Polk County for over 6 years and he also has experience with the Florida Public Service Commission in Tallahassee, FL.
- Dr. Marc Hutek, Lakeland, FL. Since 2016, Dr. Hutek has served as the Assistant Superintendent of Multiple Pathways, Polk County Schools. Dr. Hutek has been an educator for over 30 years, including two assignments as principal and as the Director, Adult Education, Hillsborough County, FL County Schools.
- Dr. Steven Warner, Winter Haven, FL. Dr. Warner currently serves in Project Management with Mixon Family Farms in Winter Haven. He has a long career in education, serving as the Head Dean of Students and VP for Advancement at Webber International University in Babson Park, FL, and subsequently as the Director, Student Affairs and Vice Provost at Florida Polytechnic University.
